Cooperation with the Flagship project School to Work
UBC Task Force on Youth Employment and Well-Being has started to cooperate with the EUBSR Flagship School to Work (S2W). The Flagship aims to strengthen transnational cooperation between stakeholders in the Baltic Sea Region in the field of education and work in order to prevent early school leaving and develop support for vulnerable groups of students/youth, specifically NEET and newly arrived refugees.
The Flagship has created a common platform of understanding and learning, and dissemination of different successful methods to deal with the issues around drop outs and NEET. Moreover, it arranges study visits and workshops, and supports cooperation and creation of new joint projects.
Initiator of this flagship is SALAR (The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions). At the moment there are 57 members from the Baltic Sea Region. UBC Task Force on Youth Employment and Well-Being and City of Turku’s education division coordinates the platforms of Early School Leaving and Newly Arrived Refugees.
The Flagship invites the UBC cities, other actors and projects to join the cooperation with The Flagship School to Work.
